2015??!!!!! Better days coming???

Well, 2014 has sucked the big one for surrogacy.   For many people I know, it has been a rough year.   But, I am hoping that 2015 brings us all some great news.

My PIFs are talking to a very nice possible TS.   And, I am talking to some very nice IPs.
My fingers are crossed for all of us!!

Xmas went well.   Heard from all the kiddos.   CJ loved his pirate costume I got him.  His mom told me that he won't take it off.  LOL  I can't wait to see him in it.   When I saw it, I just knew I had to get it for him.
Got Karlie a pokemon toy.   Her mom is going to kill me.  Haha.   K loves Pokemon.  Alex went through a Pokemon phase also.   So, I gave ALL of Alexs things to them.   Her mom was giving me the evil eye.  LOL
Then sent the twins and Percy a GC for Target.   They are all getting older and harder to buy for.

Hope you all had a great Xmas.  Got to spend time with your family and friends.

Love to all!!

Nothing new going on.

Life is super busy, but quiet.  We have had Bdays here the last couple of weeks.   We spent Alexs Bday at Ifly.  It is a indoor sky diving thing.  We had great fun.  Percy (my first surrobabe), and her Mom came.  It was so fun to see them and spend some time with them.

Then just a few days later it was my Bday.  The big 4-1.  OMG!!!  I can't even believe it.
Gregg got me a new shotgun.  It is really nice.  So, we spent this past Sunday out shooting.  I started trying to skeet shoot.  That is fun!!  I want to keep doing it, and hopefully get much better.  Because as of right now, my statistics are not very good.  Haha.

On the surrogacy front.  I am still done with TS.  No more genetic babies for me.  Sad sad.  I am still looking for GS IPs.  I have heard it all.  I drove down to Dr Kumars clinic in LA last week, and was cleared by his clinic.  So, I am ready.  I just have to find someone that is suitable for me.  :D  I think I have gotten very picky about who I will work with now.   I have had babies for wonderful people and don't want to change that now.

Hopefully I update soon with matching news.

Love to all

Breeders movie.

Ok... I don't even know where to start with this movie.  I am in talks with a professor right now.  She wants to interview me about surrogacy.   I was very hesitant at first.  I said no.  I don't want to be protrayed as poor, uneducated, white trash.  So, I passed.  She is a client of my moms.  So, my mom passed one more email and said, she was done, either I would or this lady would go away.  So, I said, ok, lets talk.  She had made a comment on this Breeders movie.  The trailers came out at the end of last year.  I saw them and thought , whatever.  So, with this comment, I decided to watch it.

OMG.  I don't think that movie could be more biased if it tried.  There were 3 surrogates who told their story.  I don't doubt their story.  There is always a good side and a bad side.  But, they all missed big parts of the checklist.  No contract until after preg acheived, not having kids before  hand, etc....  There are reasons for these things.

And, these were one sided.  The other side wasn't there to say what happened, or their perception on it.  Trust me, my perception on things in different than someone elses.   One comment was a IF and his partner telling his sister, who is also his TS, that he would just get some other stupid woman to carry their child.    I don't know about you.  But, OH HELL NO!    Haha.

I actually paid my $5.99 to watch this movie.  I think I am more angry about paying money to see it, so that I am supporting their propoganda.

Dr Smikle was in it.  I don't think his clinic actually knew the movie would be so bashful though.  He does IVF, working many times with GS.  I saw him during my first GS pregnancy.  So, I don't see him supporting that.

There was another Dr on there.  Dr Joe Travella.  He said some wonderful things.  About being honest from the get go about the surrogacy journey.  For children, for everyone involved.  Secrets will eventually come out.  I will end up researching him more.  I liked his opinion on this.

Anyways.  I would say, don't waste your money, but its up to you.

"Just" a rented uterus

I am having issues with this right now.  I really find it disturbing when you are treated like a walking uterus.  There is respect that needs to flow both ways for this to be successful.  And, not just baby successful, but emotionally also.

I can play devils advocate for a min also.  There are many on the other side that say, look you are getting paid so basically that is what you are.  I hear surrogates whom refer to themselves in the same way.  There is not enough money in the world to make me lie down and let someone walk all over me.

This is a sore subject to me right now.  LOL  Can you tell???  :)

Yay for June!!

I have never been so happy to see a month go away.  This past May is probably one of the worst months we have had in, I don't know how long.

May 1st is when the Dr called with G's blood work.  The + HIV test. And, it went down hill from there.  Watching my husband break down over these stupid results.  Arguing with the IVF clinic.  I then seperated from the couple I was matched with.  Which I really liked them.  It would of been a good journey with them.  But, I think there would of been some resentment on their end if they would of moved clinics and things didn't work.  It would of been my fault for refusing to work with the first clinic, so I decided it would just be better to let them find another GS.

Then the crazy IM's started.  OMG.  The agency called me with a profile.  That was very exciting.  Her profile right off the bat said that she didn't want her surro to heat things up in plastic dishes in the microwave, didn't want her to cook in pans with scratches in the teflon.  Ok, I email the agency.  Is she going to be demanding?  I don't work that way.  I am just as stubborn and I do not do well with someone micromanaging me.  Plus, I am a hair dyer.  I dye my hair through out pregnancy.  Always have.  And, if she doesn't want me to heat my food in a plastic bowl, we may have problems.  So, we set up a time to chat.    We actually had a great conversation.  Talked for about 90 min on the phone.  Chatted through email.  She wanted to work with me.  We came to a understanding about my dye.  LOL  So, a couple days go by.  I send her a email with all my info.  Name, address, ... that kind of stuff.  Not a big deal, right?  I figure if I am going to be trusted to carry your baby, we might need to have a open policy, right?  Well, she didn't want to give me any of her info.  Huh?  I think that is the oddest thing.  This is not a one way street with trust.  I need to be able to trust you also.  And, if you can't even share your last name, or your address with me, then I think we have bigger issues.  So, this is happening, I email the clinic and tell them, I don't think this is a good match.  There are some major trust issues happening here.  The IM emails me telling me that she doesn't want to have to share her info if she doesn't want to.  Huh?  So, ya, no go.

Crazy IM #2 comes along.  Contacts me from my ad.   I see she is also from NY.  Hmmm.  I tell her that we can chat, but if she is working with New Hope that its a no go.  We talk on the phone the next day, I tell her my story of whoa with the clinic, and she has had just about the same horrible time with them.  So, we chat about it.  She still has a surrogate.  They just had a negative cycle the week before.  Plus she doesn't like my fees.  So, I tell her she still has some work to do on her end before she even starts looking for a nother surrogate.  She needs to figure out what is happening with her current surro.  Not a problem, good luck!  The next day New Hope contacts me so I can fill out a release of information for the IM.  WHAT?????  She called them and said we were working together so she could get my info.  I was floored.  I told them that in no way were they to give any of my info to her.  OMG!  Crazy!!

Then the topper to all of this craziness is that G's dirt bike was stolen.  Just 2 weeks before he was to leave for Mexico with it.  When it first happened, I told him not to stress thats why we have insurance.  I figure I could claim it under our home policy, as its a dirt bike and not a street bike.  Insurance says No way!!  Uhg.

Was a terrible month.  I am hoping for much better news in the coming months.

Mothers Day

Yes, I know Mother's Day was a week ago.  But, thought I would touch on this now.
I heard from each IM for Mother's Day.  Either by text, call or card.  I love that despite the years that have gone by, we are still family and they act as such.  Not once have they ever treated me like a rented uterus.

I really have been lucky that these women were brought into my life.

Trust your gut.... Heart

What a mess.   The last couple weeks have been a roller coaster of
Emotions.  G and I did all of our blood work for STDs and drug/alcohol.   Got a call from the dr on a Friday at closing that one of Gregg's test came back with something wrong.   Wouldn't tell me what it was, said he needs to talk to Gregg about it.   Gregg tried calling right back but they were closed.

So, we go through the weekend not having a clue as to what could be wrong.  As a wife, I am
thinking it better be something showing up on his hep b or something stupid like NyQuil the night before, which would flag his drug test.   Because if his std test comes back +, we have other things to worry about.  :). Right?!!
Well, it takes a week for the Dr to call back.  Well, he continues to tell G that his HIV test came back +.  Well the stat test not the confirmation test.  So, he needs to see his primary.  So, G is freaked out.  I start trying to call the clinic to find out what the heck happens now.  I am not worried by these results , as false positives are common and he has had this test done quite a few times.  No worries on my end.
Well, the clinic says everything is on hold.  That they need clearance from his primary.  Well, you would think that it's just a repeat hiv test, right?   Who knows!   The clinic starts playing who's on first.  I have never seen a clinic act more vague.  I didn't say anything to G at the time about this day of back and forth emails.  I was completely disgusted by their behavior by the end of the day.

The next day G and I had a talk.  He completely broke down.  He was so scared.  He works part time at a tow yard and is in and out of nasty cars.  So, he was worried about picking something up from there.   Watching him sob, broke my heart in a million pieces.
We had his appt at his primary for new blood work and clearance from his dr , that day.   We have since received his results that he is in fact hiv neg!  Woot!!!!   But, at the same
Time I have decided that there is no way in hell I would ever work with this clinic.   They are so lost in this whole process.  With this, I have walked from my IPs.   No contract was ever in place.  Plus, I am picking up the fees from my end.  I have paid for the back ground checks ($84), our std/drug blood work, plus follow up blood work ($400), and all my gas and co pays for all of these appts.  I haven't received a penny from them.   So, hopefully this helps them continue on.   I do not have a cash tree in my backyard to cover all of this.  But, I wouldn't expect cash from them after this mess.

Is it nap time yet???
Love to all.  Xoxox
